In the true spirit of Arbor Day, the school community cleaned up, raked, weeded, planted and otherwise gave lots of love to the outdoor spaces around us on Monday at our We Are Giffen Garden Party.
Everybody had a role and learned something new through hands-on projects. And when the school day ended, Principal Nicole Newman and a host of friends and neighbors dedicated a Peace Pole in front of the school with the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in many languages.
And then the party started behind school with lots of great food and music.
